Darn was hoping to find a single piece 2.8 rim of either stamped steel or aluminum. Not a huge fan of the SC style rim.

Not one piece (or cheap), but the only 2.8 metal wheels I can think of is from Motoworx Racing:

These are 2.2/3.0 rims! They are amazing with the Bandito tires! They hook up almost perfectly on my street! The wheels are so lightweight they feel like the plastic wheels. I have pictures of them on the truck

The O.G. El Sob special motor system was the ET-3S esc and 2400kv motor from the Traxxas Funny Car. The next generation was the Mamba Max Pro and 2400kv motor from Castle Creations. The El Sob special 2.0 is the Mamba X esc and the sensored 2400kv 5mm shaft motor from Castle Creations. If you were interested, I do have a Slash 4x4 trucks that are running each of the aforementioned motor systems

I put the modified slipper clutch in on December the 8th and that was the last time I messed with it. So I decided that I would take it apart and see how it is doing. Of course I took pictures! I have pictures of the wear from driving and I also took comparison pictures of the new slipper next to the stock unit. The Duratrax Bandito's are wearing beautifully just like usual

I looked around for the funny car motor and saw one used for $250 so I passed on that hahahahaha. I ended up with a mamba monster x and the castle 2650 setup, just put it in the truck last night. waiting on the esc plate to come in and the stampede receiver box to make room for the larger power plant in the truck. I bought the xo-1 diffs and tekno steel drive shafts so it's the same setup as my velineon truck, but I hope it's not going to be too much for the steel parts. hoping to have it running Tuesday if all the parts come in by then. How do you hold the esc in? I was debating on running a zip tie under the plate and maybe a little gorilla glue hot glue maybe?

I saw those that are $309 and just can't bring myself to spend that when list is $293 and they normally sell for $240.
I also wonder if they actually have them in stock.

I will be keeping an eye on them though.

I have found - Castle Creations Monster X 1/8 Brushless Combo w/1512 2650Kv Sensored Motor

I don't do high speed but mostly short track dirt/grass and some pavement so I was hoping this one would be good. I imagine I'll have to step up to 3s since I am going down in Kv but that can happen eventually.,

It is pretty much a direct fit. In some cases you may have to shave down a little plastic from the chassis.

I think if I had to go with a different motor it would probably be the 2650kv motor. I just personally love how the 2400kv is perfect for the Slash 4x4.

Please let us know how you like the 2650 motor. Beware of some of the ones on Ebay. They are copies that are made in China.

Chances are, the electronics package will be available soon enough, as "replacement parts". It might take a couple/few months...but, it'll be available.

3670 2400kv motor is awesome for a 6-7 pound slash, how it will fare in 10lb MT I am very leery. That's a huge difference. That's eighth scale weight on a tenth scale motor pushing 4s. I really hope that fan is ground breaking in performance.

So my steering servo went out. I haven't had any time to pull it apart and see what happened. I got a brand new 2075R for $25.00! So for now it is running a standard 2075.
