    Shock Guards

I've had a set of Stampede shock guards laying around that I didn't use mainly because they make adjusting the shock mounting position on the A-arms more painful (and I tend to do it a lot). I was starting to think that perhaps the shock guards really don't serve much of a purpose. Yesterday I was driving at a disk golf course and I ran into a tree stump that was intentionally placed in the ground to mark a spot, it was was only a about 3 inches in diameter and about 3 inches tall so I didn't see it as I was about 50 feet away from my car. The resulting carnage can be seen in the picture below. If I had the shock guard installed I bet it wouldn't have broke anything, I'm going to start using them from now on (at least on the front).

I don't know if it's just me and my computer (and phone), but your posts almost always contain pics that are not viewable.

    Do they show on yours?

Anyone else have this problem with sevin7's posts?

The rears fit the Slash HCG with no problems.

If you have the LCG chassis, you have to cut the rears to make them fit.

Sorry about the pictures. I host my pictures with google photos because its easiest for me, but google photos does not provide 3rd party hosting so I kind of hack it and it looks like the pictures sometimes randomly disappear after a while but I can't tell because they remain for me since I'm logged into my photos account. From now on I'm going to post a link to the photos album (which should work 100% of the time) in addition to the actual photo in case the photo goes away. Thanks for making me aware of the problem.

I run with the TRX a-arm guards and with shock guards I 3D printed! Both of those have saved my butt(or my wallet lol) many a time. On my YouTube channel, I have videos with those 3D printed shock guards. I’m still improving the design, but they work purty darn well!

The TRX has A-arm guards? The TRX has A-arms?

I like the shock guards. Kinda reminds me of the RPM guards.

OK... I thought you meant the TRX-4.

Are your 3D printed shock guards better then the ones by RPM? Just wondering...

I 3D printed shock guards because I didn’t want to buy any, so I can’t answer your question there. If ya wanna send some my way for a test I’d happily take up your offer!
