Is this normal? After forward need to wait 3-4 second before reverse.

I just upgraded my esc and motor to brushless with hobbywings xt8 plus combo motor 2650KV.
It is wicked strong. Very powerful..
The only drawback that I have is after forward dash, I need to wait 3-4 second before I can reverse.
With the old brushed esc motor, after forward, I just need to wait 1-2 second before I can reverse.

    It is normal?
I dont have program box so I cant setup the esc. If I get program box, will I able to set the the delay timing from forward to backward?

    Thanks.

Do you still get the delay if you press reverse, release and press reverse again quickly? I find if I do that I do not get the delay.

I have a max8, and whenever the car is still rolling in one direction, it will not get in the opposite direction before a complete stop. It doesn't matter if it is forward or reverse.
