    Hesitation on take off.

Alright. Charged up the 3s lipos that came with my X-MAXX and took it out for the first time. Right away on take off I hit the throttle and it started then stopped then took off again. It doesn’t do this every time but durning the 20 minutes I was out it did this about 8 times. One time it started and stopped 2 before it went. Any ideas here? If it matters this is the 8s MAXX running 6s

Contact Traxxas, may be an esc issue.

I was hoping that this wouldn’t be the case.

Update the esc firmware via the Bluetooth and the problem is gone.

If it's not that, check your battery connector solder joints on the packs and on the esc. Could also be a bad pack.

A pack that can't supply enough current will cause that kind of issue. A bad solder joint or weak cell will do it.

If you ever want to do the Bluetooth thing for an update, but you don't want to mess with it, you can ask your (LHS) to do it for you. Most (LHS) are good about doing things like that, especially if your a reasonable customer.

I’d recalibrate the transmitter with the truck first, it only takes a minute to do
