Steering Servo for 2s and 3s - no BEC, waterproof, direct fit

What are you guys running for a steering Servo that’s waterproof, fine to run on 2s and 3s that’s an upgrade from stock?

I’ve heard this works but not sure for 3s?

Just wondering why you don't want to use an external BEC?
As for running on the stock ESC, I am a big user of the PowerHD type servo in the 20-25kg range.

Thanks - with stock ESC would you recommend the Power HD 20 or 23kg no bec?

I use the 20kg, but I've heard the 23kg is a bit quieter.

Doesn't really matter what voltage you run, as the ESC only puts out about 6v anyway.

I'm running a cheap metal gear waterproof servo from Amazon, it's plenty strong 23kg I think and it works great. As for the power supply both the internal bec of the esc or an after market Bec should supply a given voltage regardless of the battery.

I have been using the Power HD WP-23KG from Amazon for 2 months now without any problems. It fit into location without any modifications, but I did need a 4" servo extension cable to connect it into the receiver. Although I read about upgrading the plastic servo horn I paid no attention to that advice. Of course, everybody was right and a month and a half later I stripped the horn and had to take the front end apart again to replace the plastic horn with an aluminum one. Save yourself some work and replace both at the same time.

I used a cheapo waterproof 20kg, and it runs great so far. Been underwater reliably for minutes at a time.

I've been running a savox sw1211sg. It's been great, no issues, and not running a bec either.
