LOL !
Not near as long as one might think. About year or so is all.
I got about 95% out of my ATV hobby Fall 2016 that was a hobby I had been involved in for over 30 years, and then I dove head first into this RC hobby. Collecting and racing, bashing etc.
These RCs today are are amazing they are such a far cry from what we had in terms of remote control vehicles when I was kid in the 70s.
Smart chargers and Lipo batteries I believe had to be a major game changer.

I have a few General Lee themed Slash's.
This one on the Traxxas 6811 body is my favorite.
I have one on the display wall and one that I use a regular bases at the track I have it all setup on Slash 68077-24 Ultimate chassis that does have functioning on board audio.
Since this pic was taken I found a new wheel and tire that I came up with to give it an even more authentic look. I will try and get some more detailed pics of it when I get a chance.

Oh MAN! That is a big, naaaah, HUGE collection you got. Awesome. Wish I could have that many. Did you have to squish the 1/16s into the shelves?

Yea they are pretty tiny.
I have had them for while, I even have the tiny little lipo's for them.
I have yet to try one out.
I really need to take one out for spin to check it out sometime.
I mainly find myself running my 1/10 scale trucks, Slash's and Rustler 4x4s, more then anything else.
It has been a while since I have had any of the UDRs, E-maxx's or X-maxx's out.
I started out my Traxxas RC obsession/ collection with 1 UDR and 1 VXL 2wd slash.
I was hooked by the UDR and soon after the collection/obsession started.
After getting the 2wd slash stuck in the yard/grass several times. I gave it way and bought a 4x4 slash.
Oddly enough though once I changed over to a 4wd slash and started taking them to the track.
The UDRs have become primarily shelf queens, they are just a little to big for the track but they are still a lot of fun everywhere else. I seem to spend most of my time running my RCs at the track and the 1/10 scale does seem to be the best for the track.

I am only a basher, because there aren't any tracks around where i'm at.I have a 1/16 summit, just did not think they would be that small compared to the slashes, though the 1/16 summit is a little taller then the mini slashes and mervs. I only have one 2200mAh 2s lipo (Traxxas) for it, but that is plenty of power for me.

Whenever our track is too muddy to use, we bought some portable plastic BMX ramps we take out in mowed yard or park and setup sort of a make shift track with some cones to mark boundaries.
We have found adding a bit of competition of running laps on a course even make shift course, adds a lot of fun to the hobby.

Nice! I guess i could make my own track, but that would take awhile with a shovel.![]()

Here is a few pics some of my other track trucks.
These trucks all see quite a bit of track use.
Not all the collection is shelf queens.
