    Clutch

I've been out of the R/C scene for a bit but I have recently purchased a couple of Slash 2wd rollers off of Craigslist. For a few bucks more I got a Motor and ESC as part of the deal. The motor runs cool and pulls good.

but factory clutch isn't up to the 4200kv with 2s and a slightly taller pinion.

What is a good replacement for the stock clutch for a slash?

The factory clutch should be find for anything running 2S, it looks like something isn't right with your setup. How are you adjusting your backlash and clutch?

Turn the nut all the way down and a 1/4 turn out. Thats how I've done it on my rustler and P4de with no issues.

I'll have to take a better look at that, but before it smoked I didn't notice any bearing issues.

Refer to this thread - The AE triple clutch conversion will handle very high KV motors, The AE/Schelle slipper mod is much better than the stock slipper and IMO is the best option for spec class racers.

I'll buy a new clutch and see what happens then.
