Max gear sizes? 2200kv ,5mm bore

Installing all my goodies. Got a 5mm bore 22t pinion and it wont fit on the spur. I think it is the stock spur gear.

What's the max gears? I dont want to spend 9 bucks a pop and buy gears that wont fit.

I fit a 21/54 in there. They were Robinson racing gears.

Maybe I need to go down 1 tooth. My issue is the mount isnt big enough.

    The motor mount?

Your saying that the pinion hits the motor mount?

No, where the bolt goes into the mount for the mesh adjustment. It is maxed out, but the mesh is too tight.

I had ran e-revo spur a 46T Part TRA6447 at one point. It gives you some extra room.

I don't use over 20T pinions. So when I want to go higher I start to reduce the spur from 54T to either 52T or 50T. Reducing the spurs teeth does the same effects to final drive gear ratio be it slightly less per tooth.

I can't stress this enough. Check temps often after gear changes or you will burn up either the ESC or the Motor.

    In Mod1 I have a 24 or 25T pinion (I can’t remember which off hand) with a 31T spur...

Those shocks are so much better than Pro-Line shocks in my opinion. I have run the stock Ultra shocks, Pro-Line Power Strokes and the Traxxas Big Bores. Based on my experience, the Traxxas GTR shocks are head and shoulders above the rest

You may want to look into Revo springs then.
    Difference is clear

+1 on the 25/31 gearing. I actually ran the same to break 100.

I'm not looking to break speed records yet. I wanna gear it for like 70 right now. Currently at 22/52. I can still go down to 46t right?

Try a 50 tooth spur. Should be plenty of speed with a 22 pinion.

Either way, I noticed my truck not running as fast. Brought it back in, slipper clutch SMOKING. So need to upgrade that.

Oh... is that the JConcepts body? I think that's the one I want
