How do you figure out what model E Revo you have

I'm new to the RC Hobbie and bought the new E Revo VXL brushless car. A few weeks later I picked up a used E Revo that looks very similar to the VXL so I think this one is only a year old maybe. I need to order parts for the older model but I don't have a manual. I did an internet search and found out about six different models have been made over the years. Can anyone tell me how to figure out what model I have so I can get a parts book?

You can post a photo here and we'll tell you. Up until the 2.0 was released, for the most part the structure of the models have not changed, only the electronics. You can download a manual and exploded views through the Support button above.

Check on the chassis normally a model number on it. Or at least a serial number stamped. But this may also be a sticker that could of been removed. It is the older erevo. Assuming you bought the erevo 2.0 new.

The 2.0 model most of the parts are not interchangeable. 2.0 model parts are normally 8xxx. Old are 5xxx

Traxxas site will have parts explosion for both models.

Yup, you got yourself an o.g. erbe. Any part for the erevo brushless edition will work for you. The new version is the erevo vxl.

Thanks for the info. Would this sticker be the serial number and can I use it to determine the exact model?

You dont need to determine anything. Its an E-revo Brushless Edition.

Honestly, the core of the erevo brushless edition was pretty much unchanged. The six different models you found have more to do with options, like batteries included or not, that type of thing. Any parts from all these models are interchangeable, sans electronics.
