    Steering servo confusion

There is a ton of confusion on this forum for which servo fits. I see a Corona ds929 and about 4 different savox servos.do any of them drop right in? What are the big differences between all the savox servos? Thanks for any help.

A servo drive is an ordinary motor with an additionally installed monitoring sensor that performs the feedback function. A stepper motor is a brushless electric motor that works in a pair of board-driver. At once we will say that the servo drive and the stepping motor do not compete with each other.

i can say i have used the Savox SH-0255MG in both of my Tetons. however, i had to cut the plastic a little bit on the hold down. and it's very very tight where it is. the arms rubs the outside plastic. they have been in for a while with no long term issues though. so that one doesn't "drop in" but it was pretty dang close tbh. close enough to where i opted to use the same one in my second teton after installing in the first one!
