    No reverse on Mini E-revo

    Hi All,

I recently got a mini e-revo and been having heaps of fun with it.

I played till a battery went dead so i went to change it. now i cannot engage reverse. i am still able to drive forward and turn the steering left and right.

i see that the esc does flicker when i try to engage reverse but no movement from motor. i have confirmed that i am not in 'race only' mode also.

anyone know what i should check or look at?

    Thanks

this happened to me the other day too and i went through the cycle of each mode and it helped. make sure the remote is turned on. if that doesnt work then discount esc from reciever for a few mins and reconnect then try and connect the battery and try that. it has helped me. just make sure when going through the modes to out it back in sport mode. hope this helps

Looks like you got Joe Mudrycked! haha
Actually now that mine is going I have the exact same issue. Can switch between modes and if in Sport mode or Training mode there is no reverse but esc flickers when i hit reverse. I tried Mikes suggestion but still no reverse.
How do we fridge these little malakas?

Unplug your servo from the receiver. Now see if it will go in reverse. The servo is well known for causing erratic esc behavior and may need to be replaced. If this does not work, your esc needs to be sent in to traxxas.

This happened to me a little while ago, and I had to replace the esc. You could get one pretty cheap on ebay.

i had the same problem. After trying everything mentioned I put the esc in rice (well, barley) with the cover partially of and it worked after that.

Although now I get 50% power for the first minute or so of driving. It may have just been that the esc was unpluged overnight though.

it is water getting in through the button. i put a little piece of electrical tape on the button (under the blue case) and had no problems driving through snow with no top on.
