Need help with history of Villain IV

Hey guys so I've recently picked up a brand new Villain IV. I have it listed for sale but might end keeping it and doing a build on it. Anyways, the Villain forum seems dead so I figured I would try here. I've been researching online but can't find this any where. But the Villain appeared to come painted from factory?
The sides of the boat and the stripe is painted on the boat and the back part behind the boat is also painted.
Does anyone know how rare this is? Every Villain IV I've seen has stickers all over it. This is my first boat so just tryna brush up on the history of it thanks in advance

Are you sure they're not actually decals? Those look like the factory Villain IV decals to me.

Nope, I’ll take more pics when I get home. The boat is actually painted. Haven’t seen anything like it before. I’ll show what’s painted and what’s actual stickers when I send pics. Because there are some stickers on it. But it’s not like the rest of the Villains I’ve seen. The hull is actually painted

Heres some pics. Feel kind of stupid now. after putting my flash I realized looking at the pics it looks like the previous owner painted the factory "scheme" on it. What do you think? If you say yes, I'm about to strip this boat down and keep it and repaint the whole thing a new color.










btw, yes those stripes behind the seats are painted

Be careful using any chemicals on the hull to remove the old paint, it may damage the plastic.

Thank you so much for all the links! Very helpful. So this boat didn’t come painted from factory? The previous owner had to of painted it the factory theme then? Please look at my pics above to see what I am talking about. And what do you recommend on how to repaint the whole hull

Also where could I get a replacement windshield? I would really like to add the Villain Ex’s. Been searching every where for one

Yeah, they didn't come that way from the factory.

You could probably make a new windshield pretty easily with some scrap lexan. Fun fact, my NIB Villain IV kit (purchased in 2010ish) didn't even include a windshield or its mounting hardware! The box was factory sealed.

I just bought the whole top deck with windsheild on Amazon for 20 bucks a few months back.
