Been busy today with erin's. I got this far though. I got the connector bullets soldered and the expanding sleeves on. I just have to wait till tomorrow to use a hammer to pop them in place and then shrink the shrink tube. Once thats done on to all the hop ups i ordered to be installed. Start fresh tomorrow.

That’s looking sweet! I might just have to do some of these mods to my slash.
Thank you bed. There inexpensive hopups that do make a difference. Especially the aluminum bearing adapter and the revo slipper clutch. Which i still haven't gotten to. Im waiting on a new rpm sensor from traxxas before i open the rear end. I figured do all three installs at once. Which ill post pictures of. If you have any questions at all please ask. Id be happy to answer. If i can't answer your question someone on here can. All the mods so far i do highly recommend. Again thank you.

The first picture is the difference in size from the stock battery hold down to the tall battery hold down. Heres the new tall battery hold down installed. One more mod off the list. Next is the bushing in the steering bellcrank to be switched out with apex rc products ball bearings and aluminum hex hubs along with stiffer springs to install. More info and photos to come.

Just curious...you sticking with the original body, or have you decided on a new/different body?

I like the new ultimate body, its the orange one. But yea im looking around for a new body. Im thinking a chevy body from proline or jconcepts illusion body. Going with that body though i need there front bumper kit. So im up in the air right now. Im looking in a bunch of websites and my local hobby store cause i do want something different, custume. Do you have any suggestions? What body do you run?
"Theres not bad people, just bad choices."
I currently run the same exact body that you run but I really want to get the proline 2019 Chevrolet Silverado.
Im right there with you. Im a chevy guy 110%. I do landscaping and plowing and all that fun stuff. Nothing beats a chevy. I haven't seen the new 2019 proline body. Itd be nice if they had some painted. I love everything about rc's except the painting. How do you like your slash? Do you have the new ultimate? Have you done anything to it?
"Theres not bad people, just bad choices."
I absolutely love my slash! I just got it just over a month ago and it is a blast! It is the newest one mine is also the blue and orange one. I haven’t done any mods to it yet except for the transmitter phone mount. You will love it once you finish all of the upgrades!
Here’s the link to the new Silverado body from proline so you can see what it looks like.

I believe you I've had mine for about 2 weeks now and I'm unable to run it outside because I live in New Hampshire and there's snow on the ground so I'm waiting for a nice clear day to actually run it I've rented in my house for two or three minutes just to see the Telemetry sensors working I cannot wait for winter to be over to take it to a few sand pits do you have any mods in mind you want to do besides going with the Chevy Proline body

Ok here are some mods I am hoping to do when I have a bit more money or when some of the parts break. A nicer servo possibly a savox, proline trenchers, proline extended body mounts, And aluminum hex Hubs.
Don't have any specific suggestions, although, for my projects, I have something in mind...the question is "fit". I have a Slash 4x4 LCG chassis, and a Rustler 4x4 LCG chassis. I already have one body, which my intent is to fit it to the Rustler chassis, but getting it to fit will require some cutting. If I can get it to fit, than a Toyota Tundra TRD body will go on the Slash chassis. However, if I determine that there's no way the first body will fit the Rustler chassis, then it will have to go on the Slash chassis, and I'll have to come up with something else to go on the Rustler chassis. The first body (not yet telling anyone what it is), whichever chassis it ends up on, will be called it "Project Predator". And this is the first time I'm even giving the name.

Those are a good way to start. Ive heard alot of good things about savox. They are abit pricey but ive been told its worth it. I have a hitec servo in one of my speed p4des and its ok. Not waterproof unfortunately. I forget which model it is. Its lasted almost 5 years of bashing and speed runs. Worth the $50.00 i spent. Its nice to hear others out there loving there slash.

The savox 1210 is a very nice servo. I like it a lot. It is pretty pricey though. I emailed them and was able to get one discounted for $65.
Seems like a good deal to me. If your upgrading servo I would also recommend a nice bellcrank and servo Horn.
Servo:

Bellcrank:
https://hot-racing.com/?partnumber=SLF4801;c=480
Servo Horn:
https://hot-racing.com/?partnumber=SLF25SH06;c=805
Of course there are other options, those are just my favorites.
Thats a really good price not bad for $65.00. Id of gone with the savox over the hitec servo if my lhs had it. I have that bellcrank and servo horn on my speed p4de. I like it. Less play and more durable for impact i feel. You just gotta adjust the bellcrank spring tension to the right tension.

Not sure if the 2.2's will work with our Slash 4x4s.
May want to go with their SC tires:

or wait for the soon-to-be released 2.8 Sand Paw low profiles:
