    Erevo 2.0 upgrades

Hey everyone, I am looking to buy the new erevo. If I run on 6s are there any issues with the driveshafts breaking or any other parts? If so what do some of you all find to be the best the traxxas steel driveshafts, or tekno? With your recommendations can you send part numbers for both front and rear please?

The drive shafts aren’t a problem. If anything the drive cups seem to be the weak link there. Even that isn’t a huge issue. Limiting straps for the rear suspension is a big upgrade people make to keep the rod ends from pulling off of the shocks. I just replaced the plastic shock ends with aluminum ones from Hot Racing and have had no problems. Honestly, run it and just fix things and upgrade as they break. The only must do upgrade are the servos. There has been a pretty high failure rate with those.

I think you will find this helpful.

Thinking about getting a E-Revo 2.0... what upgrades are essential?

That depends on if you have the factory Traxxas VXL6s esc or an aftermarket esc. I personally donít have any experience with how cool the factory esc runs.

It would be the factory esc. I know they all get hot at some point. Hoping to find a decent fan for the esc. Thank you all for guidance!

Okay. If you have some practice with soldering wires you could wire the fan on the esc straight to the receiver with a servo wire extension. That way as soon as you turn the truck on the esc fan will be running 100% of the time. Thatís the same way with the motor fans. Run their wires into the receiver as well. I always enjoy sharing my knowledge to help a fellow rc enthusiast!
