    Motor Temp Sensor

If the red wire in the motor temp sensor connector is not being used, can it just be removed from the connector?

From what I’ve seen with my trucks, you need to plug that red wire into a power source of some sort. It can be a spare channel on the receiver or the power tap from the battery lead. With out it being plugged in the temp sensor will not work.

Thanks, that worked. The instructions refer to it as optional. So I de-pinned it from the connector to make it a cleaner install.

Once I reinstalled it and plugged it into an open channel I was able to get a reading from the sensor.

I sure wish this was documented by Traxxas, somewhere! It makes total sense and I speculated that was the issue. Good info...thank you!
