    Battery question

I've got a brand new stampede vxl-3s and I've been running a Traxxas 2872x 3 cell lipo battery with 25c sustained 50c burst. Is thia safe for the motor and components? I built a custom battery box since this battery is so long

Yes it is a safe battery for your setup. You should still check temps regularly to make sure. Everyone's usage is different and you could be harder on it than some others.

Cool thanks. I used to be into gas cars and recently bought an electric truck. Lots of fun but a little addictive and costly

Just need to gear it to keep the temps of the motor below 170F and the esc below 140F. More than 180F on the motor and your damaging magnets. More than 140F on the esc and it shuts off.

Have you upgraded your cvd's yet? I couldn't get stock sliders to last more than a couple weekends just running 2S.
