So I'm learning something new today. I am trying to figure out this XL5 ESC that is on a 2wd Stampede.
I am not new to the hobby world, I have two Revo's, a sledgehammer, TRX-1, Ducati 1/5 niteo, plus and an HPI Savage, Tamiya Mustang, Axial Deadbolt, and old hot shot from Tamiya.
But I am new to this Stampede, picked it up from a friend last week, have been trying to figure it out with online information since. For some reason this truck moves really slow and the front servo is reversed when the truck is driving away from me if I turn it left it wants to go right and vice versa I'm trying to figure out how to reprogram this thing and I keep trying with no success is there something I am missing? Do not want to take it to the hobby store and hand these guys 25 or 30 bucks to show me something simple that I am missing. Thank you

Try the servo reversing switch(if equipped) on the radio.
Newer models don't have this and there's a thing to look up to change it.
I'll try to find my post about it...
Otherwise the plug might be in the recv'r backwards.
Throttle... When in doubt recalibrate the radio to the ESC.
Make sure throttle trim is set to zero(middle) before you do.
Going slow? It might be in training mode(1/2 power).
Are you using lipo or NIMH? Do you have the ESC lipo mode or NIMH mode?

No switch for steering, first thing I looked for. 2.4g controller.
I am wanting to reprogram to fix steering and throttle. It is on NiMh 3000, 7 cell packs

Think it is in training then. Bet that is why he got rid of it. Thst is a new setting to me. He doesn't have any instructions, so I been looking on Google and tap talk for the past week. Now asking. No luck on finding exactly what would help.

Aren't the instructions on the Traxxas website?
Stampede Vxl Aton Summit
Yes they are
Support video page https://traxxas.com/support/video#/?...Id=0&videoId=0
Steering reversal https://traxxas.com/support/video#/?...d=0&videoId=12
XL5 Throttle profiles https://traxxas.com/support/video#/?...Id=0&videoId=5
Throttle calibration https://traxxas.com/support/video#/?...Id=0&videoId=4
Believe it or not the instructions I seen and the videos they offered on Traxxas site didn't help as much as the instructions I got off tapatalk. But that still didn't get me through or I wouldn't be asking. I will look at what you posted, ma ur bring me luck. Thank you

If all of the settings on your ESC are correct, it could be a failing motor. The Titan 12t slows way down as it nears the end of it's short life. I was swapping them every 3 months on my Rustler before going brushless.
