UDR's ESC has internal bec which is 6v, 10A. HVservo can work with 6v but shows less power and speed. Servo can consume up to 8A at peak moments. But there is another power consumers in the model. So the load for internal bec is high, it can be overheated and damaged. That's why it is better to use external bec that is more then 8A and has high voltage output 7.4v. Servo will work faster with more torque and with less load on the ESC with internal bec.

I use YPG 20A SBEC with dual output for servo and cooling fan. It set for 7.4v.

What about getting the horn on there properly? Iíd imagine turning the truck on with the servo disconnected then installing it with the wheels pointed straight? Iíve only had a slash and 4tec before my udr and both of those never had servo issues.

Yes. Once you plug in the reefs servo, turn the truck on, let is straighten out and put the servo horn on correctly then bolt everything down and your done.

After my 1230sg has been sticking and glitchy I ordered a
Power HD WP-23KG Waterproof, price wise is half the cost of the savox 1230sg. I like to rinse my truck down after bashing
and track bashes, if it works great otherwise I'm only out $40$
    U.D.R. IN FULL MOD MODE
    MMX SUMMIT 2200KV!
