Installed this reefs triple 4 servo once the Traxxas servo gave out - having experience with reefs, I knew it would be a good upgrade, but this thing is an absolute monster!

Tried doing the vertical tire mod, but I wasn't liking how I couldn't see the chase lights as well so I bought another chassis and went back to normal.

Painted bits - Some were painted by myself (crappy job) and the other parts were painted by a local woman who does very good work.

Currently awaiting the arrival of shock fluid. I'm going to try 50 and 80. Also ordered some green slime to help seal them better.

I fitted the leak prevention kit you find on eBay to my shocks and it’s cured all signs of leaking, I did try green slime before, but they still leaked

No problem, I don’t know why people change the stock shocks, they work awesome once they are sorted

When taking the stock bottom nut off the shocks to fit the leak preventer, do you have to drain the fluid? Or if the shocks stay upside down you can avoid this.

I'm not either, especially when the replacement is from Integy. Lol. If they were from proline I'd understand.

Go figure the seller on the link you sent me wont ship to Orlando.

Recieved my RPM skid/bumper and RPM trailing arm skids today. Installed. The black matches VERY closely to the black dye on the chassis. I was happy to see that.

Also recieved 50wt and 80wt shock oil today. I'll start on that tonight.

My ESC will be here from Traxxas tomorrow and then I can finally drive it again.

Nice build. Really nice paint job on details. How did you do the terminals on the batteries?

A lady local to me actually did most of the painting. She did everything that looks good. Haha. Build is nowhere near completed!

@ AK re. The leak prevention kit... I just took the old caps off and put the new ones on, no need to drain or refill the shocks

Were the shocks installed already and you did this, or you have to take them off for the leak prevention kit?

You need to remove the shocks from the truck because you have to take off the shock ends to remove/fit the lower shock caps

Couldn't you just remove the lower bolt holding the shock to the frame and take off the cap and spring like that vs taking the whole shock off?

Only reason I ask just trying to save unnecessary hardware removal, I have found a few that help, as I ordered a RC SCREWS udr stainless steel hardware kit.

Had the chance today to finally get it rebuilt! UPS guy dropped off the new ESC today, got that installed and ran it. Only problem I have now is a serious off balance somewhere in the rear end. Its bouncing like crazy at high speeds.

Appreciate it! Coming from crawlers over the past few years, the scale strikes me hard. So naturally I'm trying to make it more scale in every way I can.

Alright guys! Something fun showed up yesterday! The vitavon CNC wheels are heavy and look great. Now I wait for the tires to come in.

I guess HR makes their wheel hubs slightly bigger so the plastic wheels have a little tighter fit, which is great... but the aluminum wheels dont have any give. So I used a dremel with 90 grit sandpaper on it to shave down the hubs a tiny bit. Fits perfect now.

I like those wheels, and the rotors look great too. I may have to put the UDR up on some jack stands and start catching up....

That's great! Which tires and foams are you going with?

I chose to go with the General Nomad tires and crawler innovation deuce wild foams. Hoping it turns out right.

From what everyone's told me on the UDR Facebook page the nomads will work too. The bead on the traxxas tire shouldn't be any different from other tires.

loving the wheels. loving your whole UDR

I too will be ordering the wheels once o decide on a colour scheme lol

cant wait for people to give feed back on how the wheels are at top speed and if there are any negatives to running them at all.

I dont forsee any problems. If anything, if they cant handle 6s 100%, I'll lay a thin line of tire glue and leave it at that.

Appreciate the love for the rig!

the added weight should help slow down the wheel spin , actually helping it hook up better ! and the authentic look is awesome !

im thinking the added weight low down from the wheels will actually help the handling and jumping possibly
