    Motor heatsink fan

Which direction should the motor heatsink fan blow. Towards or away from the motor

Panther6834 was right. Fans go towards. I just wanted to add that heatsinks pull heat away if you didnít know.✌️

So basically, get a heatsink and make sure you mount your fans so that they blow towards your motor. jk. If you do get a heatsink, make sure your fans blow away from the motor.

Yes, TOWARDS the motor IS correct. The heat sink helps pull heat away from the motor, but the fan needs to blow onto the heatsink, so as to dissipate the heat.

    tmbold:
Care to expound on the set-up that you posted a picture of there?

My mind is mildly blown by the motor being in the battery tray.... so where the heck do ya mount the battery?!?
Also: Interesting wheelie bar ya got there... Care to let us know what that is?

Love the HiViz body color, and the (not quite raging) Bull. --BillJ

Thatís a factory works vertical motor mount, with this mount I can run a 1:1 gear ratio. The battery still fits. The wheelie bar is a tbone racing, itís really tough. And as for the body I call it el toro lol.

Thanks for the reply, tmbold. If the stock wheelie-bar gives me any issues , I'll look into the TBR item. Kind of wishing that I'd not already gotten the Traxxas one for the eventual upgrade to the boy's brushed Rustler 4x4 to Brushless.
