Thought I’d make a post of this car in open wheel configuration like its suppose to be. Finally installed tekno axles and replaced the bearings with my avid ceramics that I just removed from my Slash. Electronics are MM2/2650 posideon motor, spektrum servo, and futaba rc/rx. It has revo shocks and a sagacustomrc weighted bumper. Diffs are stock with 200k fluid, wheels are grp S7 J series wheels, the motor mount is a modified xo-1 mount. First time driving today since installed the 1/8 system, got my steering and stuff setup and pulled a 109mph pass on half dead batteries.

So glad to see that motor in your ride. I love mine.
What kind of battery are you using? Do you have multiples? It seems like it is a pretty low capacity. And is it a nimh or lipo? Thanks.
Nice run!
I had considered their 1512 or 1515 motors...
Decided that I have nowhere to safely do speed runs.
Oh well. At least my wallet is happy!![]()

Nice. Do you have trouble with wheelies, or do you have a really loose slipper clutch or what?
You are using a pinion gear as a spur?
How do you do that? It also looks like you have a huge pinion. Does the motor overheat? And what is the purple thing in the picture, where the motor normally is? Thanks.
Ok. Do you know how this motor compares to castle ones/ and would you recommend it for bashing use? Thanks.
Removed the stock body and installed my 2wd body since it has more room under it. Factory works secondary battery tray installed, very nice piece. Word of advice if you do purchase this battery tray you are very limited on batteries due to not having much room under the stock body, that is why I put my 2wd body on it. This car will be a 1/8 mile dragcar soon, but I plan to push this Poseidon on 4s first and see what happens.

Interesting battery tray. At least is would help keep the front end down at speed.
Let us know how it does. Keep it up!![]()

It’s made by factory works. They have motor mounts, shock towers, etc. With that heavy 4s pack on front I probably don’t even need the bumper. There’s a couple guys that’s been over 100 without any weight. I installed it from the get go just to be safe.

New power plant for the rusty.

I don’t think it’s long enough.
Nice stuff so far General!
I'm looking forward to seeing what that TP kill mode motor does for you. 2900kv will pull some serious amps on 6s

Motor installed, still needs bullets to be complete. Will change back to speedrun setup to compare this motor against the Poseidon and Castle I used. Small hits on Poseidon was 95mph and Castle was 98mph. Curious to see what this motor will do.

Very nice! Time to get their 6Pack to match your black and green theme!
I was looking into their cap packs a while back, but ended up getting EM Performance's pack.
Good luck with your new setup and please keep us updated on your runs and impressions!![]()

Bonito coche, pero... queda algo del rustler?

GeneralPede When you purchased the wheelie bar what options did you pick? For tire size did you pick for tall tires or short 70mm foam tires? Material type did you pick G10 or carbon fiber? For wheel type & diameter did you pick 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, or 3/4 inch?

Sorry for the 50 post in a row. Im very interested in purchasing the wheelie bar when you got the wheelie bar did you have to add anything like wheels or what not or just screw it on to the bumper mount?

Is this the kit you got? https://www.dragraceconcepts.com/product-p/321.htm. Cause it says it's meant for the slash 2wd. If it worked for you im going to get it.

Motor comparison between these 3 motors, obviously I knew the TP power/killmode drag motor was gonna blow em away. Just like comparing stuff like this.
Single 4s
Poseidon 2650-92mph
Castle 2650-95mph
Killmode Drag Spec-104mph
Parallel 4s
Poseidon 2650-95mph
Castle 2659-98mph
Killmode Drag Spec-109mph
All this was done with rustler 4x4, same gear, and same batteries.

Parallel gives same voltage and more MAH or longer run times and series gives more voltage or speed.
