    Carburetor help trx .15

    Hi,

I am a complete newbie at Traxxas as my Nitro Sport has sat for around 3 years back from when I was a teenager. I am currently taking apart and cleaning components of the car. I am having trouble with the Carburettor however. I am just wondering should the black screw, (circled in red) I believe to be the low speed mixture screw, screw into whats circled purple? I would think it is as it stops the throttle arm from moving in and out of the Carburettor. However, the factory settings say the black screw head should sit flush with the end of the throttle assembly. When the screw is in just the start of the tread, it sits below the throttle arm.

Should the throttle arm be able to move in and out anyway? As when the linkage cable is connected is shouldn't be able to anyway. Any help is appreciated thanks

Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvc1_3bqvmQ - This video shows my problem. Only fix is to screw low speed mixture much more than it sitting flush.

The idle screw holds the throttle barrel in(the screw with spring on it). Needs to be turned in to set idle gap. Settings Don't use servo linkage to control idle gap. Set adjustment screws to factory and carb will look alot better.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I will make amendments later this week and see how it goes. I'll report back if issues persist
