    Battery upgrade

    Hi guys
I just got a 1/16 brushed slash and the stock battery doesn't last long.
Reading instructions says to add another same stock battery in parallel connection.
    So question:
Do I have to buy the same stock battery or can I buy a cheap XYZ brand and make my own parallel connector?

I would make sure that both the batteries are the same

    Welcome to the forums!!!

You can get another traxxas battery and use that with the one you have, or get 2 off brand batteries and hook um up. It's not that good of an idea to hook together two different brands of batteries, because something bad could happen. As for your own connecter, it would be fine as long as you get a decent solder job on it.

I personally would recommend lipos, they last longer and give some better oomf and zoom. I've got two 2s lipos that both last 20 min each on medium bashing, and work great!

Edit: Took so long to write this up I didn't realize someone had already posted...

I can solder good and I'm frugal so I'll make one.
I don't have a charger for lipos yet or for sure I'd just buy a lipo.
