    Loss of Go Juice

    Hi All,
New to the forums and somewhat new to the RC world.. Recently purchased a Stampede 4x4 w/VXL and the other day it managed to get a little moist by entering a lake.. ever since then the get up go got up and went and the motor seems to be making a higher pitch noise now than before.. I can still get some solid speed out of it once she does get up and rolling.. but the get up and go is weak.. wont even spin the tires from a dead stop like it used too.. Am I looking at a new motor or is there something else I can investigate? Thanks for any help,

    James

"A little moist by entering a lake." Hmmm...repeat after me: Truck is not a boat, or a submarine.

You'll want to check all the bearings for rust. Probably even the ones in the motor.

Thanks! Will definitely look into that.. clutching makes sense... cheaper than a new motor!

2nd the clutch. Also get some spare bearings, sounds like you’re gonna need them.
