What have you done to troubleshoot the issue?

Made sure the servo was properly plugged and seated in the receiver. Thatís about it at this point.

I just removed the steering servo and it seems like when I turn it by hand itís tough to turn it one way. Is this normal for a x maxx I feel itís not.

Isolate the problem. Plug the servo into Ch2 and see if it works. Plug the ESC into Ch1 and see if it works. If the problem follows the port on the receiver then the receiver is at fault. If it follows the servo then you've found your issue.

I tried switching it last night and the problem seemed to follow. I believe I found the issue. I took the servo out and took it apart and it smells terrible and has some moisture in it.
