    Best shocks for bashing

Help me out a little guys I tried a search and it didn't bring up much info. I drive my truck pretty hard off road only and I keep having the tops of the shocks pop off, sometimes even what I consider to be a light roll over! The shock towers (RPM) are not broken I have already checked that! Maybe I just need to get the aluminum caps for my stock shocks or maybe upgrade to big bores, piggybacks? I am sort of new here so just let me know what you hardcore bashers recommend!

had a set of powerline shocks that got busted up not long after installing. my big bores have only had issues with the bottom of the shock coming out. it is only held in by a clip and the shocks were overfilled. i have a very stiff suspension and the truck has held together nicely. i have a very mean tendency to bash a truck till it breaks and then i keep going. the truck in its current form managed to hold together till the batteries ran out during my most recent bash.

1/8 ofna shocks (UE supershocks), UE progressive springs, about 50-60WT oil . big bores have no chance against them

and those 450 are not WT but CTS which compares to about 35WT

oh and for big bores best springs are rcraven/fullforcerc dual rate springs. integy do ok but dual rates are much better

had them all (now my race maxx has 8ight shocks but those dont fit standard arms)

I run 4 ofna ultra front shocks with 4 of the stock shocks.I haven't had a really hard bash since I changed them, but as far as handling the rough stuff it's not even comparable. They actually work for 40 bucks you can get 4 13mm aluminum shocks, not bad.

I have run BigBores, PowerStrocks and 1/8 shocks. By far the best is 4 UE supershocks with black springs in the rear and dark blue springs in the front with 40 wt oil in the fronts and 50 wt in the rear.

    I own 4 set's of SuperShock's these days.

I do it up like Mark & George on my FLM E-Maxx, 4 shock set up......blue springs up front, black springs in the rear.....using 60w shock oil at all 4 corners.

I guess you could say that I am NO longer the PowerStroke King:

Big bore shocks with heavy duty blue Integy springs will set you up nice. That's what I run and they work great.
