Well after a month of research & test driving the UDR @ my local hobby shop & bugging my wife for the OK once I got her OK I ordered UDR & got the added Light Kit upgrade TRAXXAS had a Promo going on with the UDR not going to refuse a FREEBE from TRAXXAS LOL. I got the RIDGID UDR Black & Red color combo I am totally excited to get it I can hardly wait until 4PM.
Wile @ the hobby shop is there any spare parts I should pick up right away FYI I am good on LIPOS
I have one coming also. I have been out of RC trucks for a couple years and was selling a few of my drift cars when I came across the UDR trucks from Traxxas. My first truck was a Traxxas 2wd Slash. Never broke anything on it as I never got crazy with it. I still have a 2wd Slash that I have modified with a LCG Anza chassis. That was before Traxxas came out with the LCG chassis. When I saw the UDR, I had to have one, and will in a couple more days.
tape or plug the holes in the rims, before dirt gets in
or melt holes in the tires
consider installing the open diff and 34 47 gearing
40wF 70wR shock fluid with 8-10mm of lowering spacers
green or blue strip springs
for handling and longer lasting parts
try it stock and report back
cwmoss if you could post a picture of the lcg anza slash chassis

You might want to get a spare servo.....and have fun with it....I've had mine for almost a year....and still love it!
A steering servo like FlyingDutchman said. Mine lasted about one hour out of box and I never hit or crashed truck before it stoped steering... then it hit a brick planter when I couldn’t turn it!!!

Search “savox servo” and you can read all the servo stories and also get the part number.

I use same savox 1256 servo also, haven’t had any issues since installing a year ago.

I did not even have a chance to take my UDR out of the box yet. Had two Graduation Party's to attend to Saturday so my day was full of that & today Sunday is Mow the grass day & wash the wife's car & my truck "I do both anyways on weekends anyhow" so there clean for the week Than I plan on unboxing the UDR later this afternoon I hop to get a few break in runs in on the UDR later this afternoon. but I keep you guys updated
Have you run it yet.....
I also picked up a UDR yesterday but did not get the chance to run it yet. I got the Rigid red/Black UDR.
I'm in awe of the scale detailing...not sure what direction I'm going to go with it yet. I decided the Defender will have an easy life of body detailing and mild slow crawling. It's tempting to do similar with the UDR, but then, after watching so many videos of it shredding dirt, that's tempting too!
