    shocks

my ultra shocks are leaking and get stuck when compressed so i was looking into the upgrades the gtr and big bor, whats the difference between the 2 and is it worth extra money for the gtr?

Big bores arenít an upgrade for the most part. GTRs are better, larger, and keep in mind, youíll need larger diameter springs to go with them. Short answer, yes it is

GTRs are light years ahead of ultra and big bores. Worth the money.

The biggest benefit I've found is how many spring options there are. I prefer the losi springs, vg racing are popular too.

All I can tell you, if I donít have them, you donít need them. The shocks came off a slash I believe. I have rear springs all around. Itís night and day over stock.

i just did a live chat and the employe said it was long

sorry just making sure its long in front and xx long in front right. gtr shocks are wider and my stock shocks are already rubbing against my front chamber link i believe and on the end of it where the black piece is there is white marks from the springs but the rear is fine do you need to purchase any spacer for gtr shocks?

    thanks

The "long" part #7461x for the front, and the "xx-long" part # 7462x for the rear is correct. I don't remember needing a spacer any where because the arms, camber links, shock towers for the stampede and the slash are all the same. It should just fit. I'll look at my son's tonight to confirm that. If you get a set of 4 from a slash 4x4 takeoff it's the same thing like Grip mentioned.

Yeah I checked my son's, no spacers or anything on the front. The spring touches the camber link just ever so slightly. I cycled the suspension fully, even put some forward to back torsion on the a arm and it doesn't affect it.

I prefer these Losi springs. Black up front, Gold in the rear

The losi springs are pretty stiff. The VG racing springs are popular too, but I find them too soft for me.

I ordered GTR shocks, they should be here tomorrow.
The springs (rate blue) already arrived today.

What weight oil is recommended for these ?
    350 CPS F & R ?

Mostly driving on loose surface and grass.

    I run the following:
VG Springs/GTR Shocks VDK drilled out 1/16"
    Associated 70wt front rear

Mine does really well with that, trencher 2.8's and SMC 7200mah 3S pack.
    Expert rigging at it's best!
