I am new to the hobby so I am by no means an expert, but I thought I saw in my paper work that came with the new car there is some kind of adapter Traxxas sells so you can plug into the wall outlet.

The one Traxxas sells is an AC to DC converter. If you want to go from 110v AC to12v DC, this will work fine.

However, if you want to go from 12v DC to 110V AC then you'll need to find a Power Inverter. Can usually find those about $20.00 or more depending on the current draw needed.

So, what you’re really asking for is a power supply for your charger I don’t know if you have any experience with electronics at all, but it’d be WAY cheaper to pick up a used laptop or similar power brick. That’s what this is, anyway.

The last AC charger I owned quite literally had a cheesy Chinese power brick built right in.

Yeah, all you need is that little adapter I linked.
