    Flex Cable/Motor Coupler

    Hi Everyone,
New on the thread, need some advice. After I ran the boat a bunch, I did the required maintenance and removed the flex cable etc. Once ready to run again, I re-installed it and went out. Well I must have not tightened the flex cable to the motor coupler because the whole assembly now sits on the bottom of the lake. How tight should I tighten my new one to the coupler? How tight should I tighten the prop to the cable? Should I use a special nut on the prop? Any advice for this rc boat newbie would be great..tx

I crank the shaft collet pretty tight and have never had an issue, and the prop nut should be a 4mm nyloc nut that should be fairly snug and shouln't come loose especially on a new boat. Check them after every run and remember you still need to oil the motor bearings and grease the shaft every 3 or 4 runs.

Does the new shaft come with necessary hardware?

No part #5776 is just the flex cable nothing else and part #5777 is the brass stuffing tube with the plastic liner.
