    Never seen before

    Hi
    Iíve been into RC for a couple of years now and Iíve never seen these before or anything like them, alright for those who live where it snows but I live in Australia (it gets hot here but snows in some spots Iím nowhere near the snow)

    No intent to burst your bubble, they've been around for years; someone developed them soon after the 2wd Slash was introduced. There may be a few videos floating around the forum displaying how they work, however, it has to be the right kind of snow: the 0įF snow is too fluffy and it will sink; the mid 30s snow is too wet and sticks to everything. In addition to the entertainment of watching these go through snow is some have thrown their boats on the white stuff and bash them in the yard (snow boating).

    Do you have to prep your truck for snow before you just strap on the skis and run?

    Also, how would this work in sand? Or should we stick with tires for sand?

    Really those skis are a bit of a waste on a 4WD, it would be better to just run paddle tires all the way around.

    On a 2WD they make more since, allowing the dead weight of what would be the front tires to easily glide over surfaces like snow, sand, and water.
