1/10 Summit - rear bounces if steering to either right or left extreme

    Hello all,

    I have a puzzling situation.

When I steer (slow speed, even road) my 1/10 summit to the extreme left or right the rear starts to bounce up and down. Also, I hear sometimes a faint squealy sound.

When I check out the suspension, moving parts, wheels etc. there is nothing visibly sticking and the truck drives otherwise with no issue. Also, when driving straight or a bit to the left or to the right then all is good - no bouncing, no noise, all looks smooth.

I tried locking the differentials, slow speed, high speed settings: no difference.

What could cause this - would anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you all!

Thank you, will check for that when I take it apart on the weekend.

Would they tighten themselves over time?

A quick guess would be it could be stuck in 4 wheel lock. I would check to be sure the diffs are unlocking.

Very good guess. After testing the locks it seems they did not unlock. I think I will start with a proper clean to make sure all linkages etc work as they should before doing a major disassemble.

    Thank you!
