    Noob help - connector types

Can anyone shed some light on the names of the different connectors used on these TRX4 and related RC cars?

    1. The 3 prong connector for servos and power (notably on the receiver) - Are these dupont connectors? I've also noticed some have the tab on one side (for orientation) and some don't).
    2. The 2 prong connector for accessory power off the ESC. I think these are JST connectors?
    3. Any other important connectors that I should know about?

I'm wanting to pick up a little connect set for redo-ing some wiring and just to have on hand. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    So more digging -

    1. The 3 prong connector for servos and power (notably on the receiver) - With the wing for orientation is a Futaba connector or "J connector. Without (universal) is the Hitec "S" or "JR" plug.
    2. The 2 prong connector for accessory power off the ESC. These are RCY connectors: http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=521
    3. Any other important connectors that I should know about?

I make all of my own harnesses and shorten or extend wires as needed for myself and friends. I beleive the one with the tab is a J connector but might be wrong. There is a learning curve using a set of crimpers with the male and female pins. I always tin the wire with solder before I crimp for a cleaner install. When using the coupler always connect it to the male so the prongs never get damaged and when crimping the pins make sure the wire side is facing down and in the first slot on the crimpers.

I use Hitec wire in bulk.

Not the best video but it gives you an idea, watch differnt ones for different ideas. I cut between the pins and leave the wings on so it butt's up against the crimpers so the crimp only crimps what it's supposed to.

Just make sure when connecting them you orient the neg to neg and pos to pos and so on, it's easy to make a mistake putting the wires into the plug.
