How will the forum be handled?

The new TRX6 is hitting the street as I type this, and inquiring minds want to know... With the TRX4 and TRX6 share a forum, or will the TRX6 get its own?

My vote is for them to share the same sub, aside from that center axle, they are the same truck...

Already heard the motor and transmission are different and larger. Wheels are 2.2 to get a lower profile on the same diameter tires. I have a ton of new stuff to upgrade a normal TRX4 but without seeing it, I’m afraid to buy anything else. Gotta wait the two to three weeks to get it before I go hog crazy buying parts for it. I would say leave it on the TRX4 forum for now until we see just how much the two platforms share.

Any axle parts look too be the same other than the middle axle housing. So should be good there.

It doesn't matter to me...I'm just excited to get to see all the specs once it's listed in the Model Showroom. Anyone know when it should show up there based on previously released vehicles?

I put $300 down on a preorder at my LHS...can't wait!

I mean the dealer first delivery truck. Stock is probably about 2-3 weeks out I figure.

First I have heard anything about the core drive trains being different. From the pictures Traxxas posted, the TRX4 and TRX6 transmissions and motors look exactly the same.

Stock motor will be 550 Titan 21T. So it looks like the drivetrain is the same in TRX4 and TRX6.

I watched a video that showed the drivetrain, everything looks to be the same as all other TRX trucks so far.

    Meh...

This will get the MambaX and 1900kv motor, just like my first (comp) TRX4, and Bomber.

Back to the point of the thread, will they make a TEX6 specific sub forum?

Yup, that's the one I saw. Interesting that the rear axles will be tied together for lockers.

Yup, I want to see how they tired those two cables together.

Sadly, after seeing this it makes me want this platform more than ever, but will pretty much wait until it comes out in a different configuration.

From what I could tell it's just a different servo arm with 2 coupling balls. I'm sure there will be some interesting difficulties that will arrise, but only time will tell I guess.

I think the standard should be to turn this forum into TRX4/6. Theres just too much similarity, its like summit vs summit vxl...? Why bother seperating.

That is my oppinion as well, but look at the RCs in the Traxxas lineup that are basically the same, but are called something else and have their own subs... Guess time will tell.
