Metal wheels for stampede 4x4 vxl

I have a stampede and Iíve stripped out the hexes in the wheels too many times now. Iíd like to get some metal wheels with tires already mounted. I canít seem to find many options. Maybe someone here has some recommendations?

    Thanks!

    Caleb

Pro-line has the Raid wheel with aluminum 12,14 or 17mm hexes and i do believe they have premounted tires on the Raid wheels also. Check their website.

Just looked and they have proforge wheels but they are 6 lug. I could get adapters but the wheels are $93! They are discontinued anyway. Any other options?

You need to upgrade to 17mm hexes and youíll never have the issue again.

    Somehow builds are never done....

I was kinda thinking the same thing. My slash has 17mm on it and nothing has happened yet. I will look into doing that.

Check these out, they have a couple in 3.8 but not sure about 2.8"s.

I would second the Proline 2.8" Raid wheels with 17mm hexes. Even with those in plastic you'd have a hard time stripping them, and if you do manage to strip them, you could upgrade to aluminum. https://www.prolineracing.com/wheels...hex-wheels.asp
    I quit using auto-correct. It's changed everythong

You can find their premounted 2.8's as well with 17mm hexes:
    https://www.prolineracing.com/1-10-m...ck-premounted/

I run the 2.8" trenchers on 17mm wheels from them on my stampede with hot racing 17mm 5mm extension hubs. I had to go with those hubs as they fit over a 12mm hex and I run MIP x-duty cvd's which have flat spots on the axle instead of a pin like normal axles have. So far, I have had zero issues bashing it with lots of big air on 3S.

Cute... they don't offer them anymore, just the new wheels with the chintzy plastic hub that strips out unless you spend big bucks on the alloy hub.

    I have these:

Thanks for the replies everyone! I actually already bought and installed the hot racing 17mm adapters. I found some cheap rims and tires on eBay. Should look decent. Still waiting for the wheels from eBay.

Found these guys on eBay for $21 for a pair. They look pretty sharp! They are a little skinny but thatís alright.
