Center differential for Revo

I've always been under the impression that most of the parts that fit the Revo fit the Slayer so I got the Revo center diff. I then saw there is actually a separate center diff made for the Slayer. Am I out of luck (and $40 bucks) in getting the Revo diff to fit?

Not necessarily. The gear is bigger so the truck will run slower. Plus you’ll need to change a gear or two inside the transmission.
