Maxx availability in stores or online

On Maxx microsite it provides link for locating dealer that may have this in stock. When i click on it then it says no dealer found near my current location. I even searched 500 miles radius but no one is carrying it. Is it available to purchase anywhere in-store or online? Also when will it be available on traxxas.com for purchase?

Just as with any other new release - from Traxxas or any other RC company - they announce it before it hits stores. History has shown that it doesn't take long from Traxxas's announcement till it gets in our hands. The only one I can remember that was delayed for quite a while was the Titan - now known as the Spartan.

Just be patient.

I remember that. I waited, and waited, and found out that Traxxas had to bring back all the Titan boats to rename them Spartan, because the name Titan was already taken by Areomarine. Finally, though, I finally got my Spartan, and have had a lot of fun with over the years. Great boat!

My local hobby store (Norcal hobbies) in San Jose, CA took down my name. They are saying it's coming next week. They'll be the first ones to get it. Hoping to hear from them next week.

My LHS has had one for display only for a couple of weeks now. The thing is smaller than I thought. As an owner of an XMaxx I see no need to spend the money. I'd get an E-Revo 2.0 instead.

I would think the same. For the price you get a lot more vehicle with the Erevo. Granted you need 2 batteries, but you do get a lot more vehicle for the money IMO. If the price was more toward $400 or so, I could see getting one. At $549, it’s too close in price to the Erevo for my liking. But that is just me.

I had an E-Revo 2.0 and had to install the rear aluminum brace and limiting straps and two new batteries just to run it. I traded it for a TRX-4 Bronco and then got an Arrma Kraton to replace it but have spent $950 dollars beefing it up so go figure! I've got an X-Maxx and love it. Was hoping the smaller Maxx is as easy to work on as the big X-Maxx and is as tough or just get another X-Maxx? Was wanting a smaller Maxx though??

I felt the same about the price after looking one over at my lhs. That's why I just looked but didnt buy when he got them in. I ordered a MT410 kit instead...

I will wait and see if the market corrects the price by $100 or so. Maybe after the first run with the lights is gone the price might drop.

I liked it... But I would love it in the under $450 range.

The one I looked at had lights, and I didn't want lights so I said something about them and he said that all the first release units came with lights.

Ok, the first release ones are the demo trucks the LHS got. The boxes said "First Release" on them. Different I believe from the normal stock now coming. We'll see as my LHS is supposed to get them tomorrow.

I just got a shipping notification on my preorder for my blue Maxx direct from Traxxas. I also ordered the light kit.

It's shipping ground so I don't anticipate it arriving until early next week. I'm guessing it'll be picked up by UPS tonight.
