Am I the only one who cannot believe Traxxas doesn’t make a light kit for the slash??

I really have a hard time believing Traxxas doesn’t have a light bar/new front bumper for something as popular as the slash. I know there are other options but I really like the stock bumper over aftermarket ones with mounts built in.

With the current releases of Traxxas products being remakes. I am not surprised they didn't make a light kit for a vehicle without any provisions for one. But if they do a remake/2.0 Slash I bet there will be.

Plus with all the dirt cheap DIY universal kits already out. I think Traxxas just didn't want to compete for such a low profit offering. But once they develop a proprietary version and launch it on a Slash 2.0 they might see the profit margins they want.

As for "proprietary" I mean to the model not the brand.

I think that popular model like Slash 4x4 really deserves 2.0. Ofc with light bar kit xD

I hear you but even the stampede 4x4 gets a bumper with mounting tabs and a light kit is available lol

Slashes are meant to be a Short-Course RACE Truck... made to race.
No lights necessary. If you want lights, do it yourself.

Well now you could have a point with that. I’m not actually complaining here though so don’t take it as that. Just talking
I put a rpm bumper on with a trick rc light bar, I just am not a fan of the bumper. I need to get the bar on the stock bumper lol

I mounted the Traxxas light kit for the stampede to the stock slash bumper.
All you have to do is make 2 holes in the front bumper to mount it.

RPM also has their own light canister kit for their Slash bumper:

I cut that bumper down and reshaped the skid plate to fit my MERV:

I have two rpm light canisters like that and the stampede one. It’s the rpm bumper I’m not in love with. I very much prefer the stock slash bumper. I’m going to see about 3D printing a adapter or a complete new mount for the trick rc light bar.

I’ve never ran the stock bumper. Is there enough room between the bumper loop and body to safely mount lights?

I think so. I had my bar poked in there at one time. Don’t remember thinking it was tight.
