Has anybody noticed that TRX6 skid plates are not actually aluminum, but a hard plastic? A lof Youtubers have been saying the TRX 6 is equipped with Aluminum Skid plates, and not plastic ones. They look very real, especially the rear ones, but I took them out to swap with new bumpers, and it turns out that they are very hard plastic with a cold feel to them.
Yeah traxxas would never put aluminum in for that price. Heck they won't even put metal servo horn.

I didn't figure they would be. They look ok, but when I rip mine apart to install the new electronics I'll likely take them off.
One useful function they might have is as a mounting spot for weights.

Does anybody sell aluminum skid plates for the TRX6? I'm so paranoid that they are going to get scratched, I may have to take them off. Or I can find some anti-scratch film or something, but that ruins the look.
Ok, thanks
They don't seem to have the Rear ones, but the front one takes more a a beating anyways.
Jumping: maneuver and pray it won't break.
A rear metal replacement will come probably from CCHAND or another manufacturer in time
Although they are plastic i really like them on my G500, as for the 6x6 we don't have them yet in the uk.
