Hello all,
I'm new to the forums and new to owning a Revo 3.3. I just picked it up today used. The seller didnt have any of the tools that came with the truck.
So my question is what should I put into a tool box so I can work on my truck. One thing I've noticed is the wheel nuts arent just a typical nut its splined. How can I make sure I have the right tool to remove the tires. Any other special tools that I will need.
Thank you in advance any help is appreciated.
1.5, 2.0, 2.5mm hex wrenches, 5mm wrench, 8mm wrench and 8mm socket. You could download the manual and exploded views by clicking the Support button above.
The Super Derecho
If they are the blue wheel nuts, they are 17mm.
If your in it for the long haul, spend a bit of money on your hexes as the cheap ones round off easily and destroy screw heads. MIP wrenches seem expensive, but they last years.
I use MIP speed bits in an electric driver with a clutch so I'm less likely to strip screws or rip threads out. Makes wrenching go a lot faster/easier.

I have an older version of this:

Really does make wrenching so much faster/easier. Especially if you have arthritis.![]()

Thank you, will definitely look into getting some. Just getting back into the hobby. So right now I'm going to take it slow and learn the truck.
Over the winter I plan on stripping it to a bare chassis and going thru the whole thing. According to the guy I bought it from, it's all upgraded. So no parts just clean and rebuild
