Getting ready to buy my first UDR

Alright you gurus, I have a couple of questions before I buy:

I have 2 brand new 3C 5000 batteries that I dont' want to go to waste. Will this work with the UDR? I read several threads and no seems to mention using these batteries.

My other question, is there anything that I need to do to the model first off. Otherwise, I'd just like to run it straight out of the box.

    Thanks.

Only thing I would do before you ever drive it is get aluminum wheel hexes. The plastic will get seized onto the axel and you will have to dremel them off.

    Oh yeah, sorry. It's the Traxxas 25C 11.1v #-Cell 5000mAh Part # 2872X

    Length 155mm, Height 44mm, Width 45mm

I have 2 of them that are brand new, still in the box, never used.

Yes, those should work with your UDR. You can find them under the listing of compatible batteries here:

    https://traxxas.com/products/models/...ts?t=batteries
    I like free stuff!

That helps, when using Traxxas batteries all you really need is the Traxxas number. 3rd party batteries need all the other info though.

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get the UDR! I'm actually going to be downsizing my RC set up so I'll be posting about that soon.
