What battery size is everyone using.
Does anyone use throttle cures.
whats a throttle cure?
I use a 3s 1300 and 2200. For climbing I like the 1300 and for trailing 2200. 2200 lasts over an hour. Then I use the 1300 to bring her home.

I use Traxxas 5500 Mah 3cell. I run all of the same batteries on all my cars, the slash, TRX4, xmaxx, vtec. The TRX4 runs pretty well on 3s.
Jumping: maneuver and pray it won't break.
I use standard sized 3S packs, 4300mha. They are a little top heavy, but if you have weight down low, you won't notice the extra pack weight.
On the stock system (XL5/Titan) I have never applied a throttle curve, there is really no need. If you are easy on the throttle you will get smooth low-speed movement out of the motor. I run throttle curve on my Mamba-X systems, I find they are a little punchy at low speed, and require a very light touch to keep the truck from lurching. Going with a little bit of curve down low mellows the whole system out, which makes for exceptional control in low-speed, high-torque crawling situations.

I use the Traxxas 3s 11.1s in all of my TRX 4s, when out trailing etc i get well over 2 hours of use.
How long will they climb using the 1300 3s batteries?
On my trx4 stock titan, hw 1080, stock gearing, and a solar d772. I use a 2200 3s in my modified battery tray. I get around an hour crawling or 30 mins trailing. I do not have any throttle curves. I also have some 2s 2200s when I an just going to go really slow. I have no idea how long they last I have not run them dead yet. Maybe 30 mins. I tried my 4400 3s and 5200 2s and they are just too heavy. they do last for hours though.
