Thicker washer behind hex nut and pin?

Anyone run a thicker washer behind hex niut to take up some driveshaft slop? On stock setup and some upgraded items it seems like the original washer that rests against the bearing is super thin

I shim them up also. The Hex's that have a through pin like the 17mm ones are much easier than the 12mm slide on style.
