Lightbulb Controlling a water pump from remote control

I was thinking about putting in a cheap water pump so that water flow is not solely relied upon the boat moving at high speeds. It would also add a cool aesthetic feature as well, as the water would be pouring out of the output holes when the boat is at rest. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it so that I can control whether the pump is turned on or off directly from the remote so that way the pump isn't running dry when the boat is out of the water after I plug the batteries in while I'm putting the hatch on and taping it shut. I tried figuring out a way to use the set and menu buttons to control the power to the pump but had no such luck. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this please let me know.
