    Grips TRX4 Sport Kit build.

Got the Sport kit. Added the Castle 14 series 2850kv sensored brushless. Monster X ESC. WP PowerHD 25kg servo. Got some STRC inner and outer portal Brass, before itís seen the outdoors. This was a fun build. Wonder whatís next.

Iím aware some of this is repetitive, but I do threads on my builds for my progress as well as to let others know what Iíve been up to. Looking forward to getting this dirty.

I just did my front bumper mount and castor blocks.

It's outside cooling off so I can do a run

I am not sure it has been done before... a quick check and I didn't find any.
But the rear tracks aren't the same same shape as the front, so without modifications I don't think it can be done for clearance reasons.
I would love to see someone try

Did you need a bec for your servo Grips?
I am thinking of upgrading mine, but not sure if I want to do more than just change the servo

Nope. With the monster X thereís no need, Iím running it on 7.4vdc, turns like a champ. Donít do this is youíve got Traxxas RX, itíll burn up.

Gonna get aluminum bead locks, tires, and HR wide kit. Getting ready for spring. Took it out this weekend but didnít really have time to go anywhere cool. Did navigate some rocks around my house though.

Most of what read is for good crawling lighter is better. So Iím looking at an SMC 3S 5k mah. 330 grams. 2200 packs are less than 200 grams. Iíll most likely get a couple sizes. I have the 5k 2S already.

I use 3s 2200 packs i modded the lower tray so they sit down low. I get about 45-60 mins of crawling each pack. I tried with my 5k 2s (mines brushed so slow as ****) or my 3s 4k, and it is flip city on the rocks. for the record bashing, I get about 3 hours out of the 5k and its usually around 20 percent so way overkill for crawling. For this vehicle do not waste your time on big batts. 3 3s 2200s can be had for about 35 bucks if you shop around. that's three to 4 hours geared right.

MIP driveshafts installed. Bead locks and Hyrax tires installed. Feels much better with the tires, driveshafts, and brass down low.

Scaler Fab front bumper for much better approach angles, rear is on the way. Expensive, but you get what you not for. Bye bye plastic.

    Grips TRX4 Sport Kit build.

SSD rear bumper that I trimmed to fit the sport. Nothing like putting the dremel on a 50 dollar bumper. It was just way too long. I think I may trim the rear of the body slightly to have it all mesh just right.

Installed RC4WD sliders today. Theyíre aluminum and closely resemble stock. This one could be close to done. Minus of course hours of enjoyment crawling and trailing.

Sharp! What are the dual stage foams like, as compared to the stock tires/foams? I still have stock on ours now, and you can see how the foam is totally crushed. It still seems to crawl up the rocks pretty well in spite of that, but I imagine theyíll fail pretty soon.

Great cushion on the start. And great sidewall support. Just drove it for about 45 minutes. No more crazy tire distortion. Super happy about this. Definitely a huge upgrade.

Nice to hear that! I was thinking about trying out those Hyrax tires after these stock ones wear out. I wasnít sure about the dual stage foam though. Thereís a lot of brass under our shocks, and it sounds like these are step up.

Keep the cool pics coming! Iíd take more of ours but itís not easy when the five year old is driving, and the almost two year old is wandering off like a feral cat.

You run those beadlocks too right? Seems like a good idea. Iíve never successfully removed a set of glued tires without wrecking the wheel

I have lots of brass as well. The tires sit much better, even still, with new foams. Bead locks are awesome. The Injorna aluminum I got are really awesome. Couldnít imagine spending twice or three times as much for the same product. Iíve removed trenchers and stretched them over 3.8 wheels, so I was trimming them anyways, so no need to be prefect
