    After-run oil

Hey guys I have a Revo 3.3 engine that is practically brand knew and I have been using WD-40 as an after-run oil to clean out the engine. Is WD-40 OK for that purpose or should I get real after-run oil, also what would you suggest?

Traxxas says you can use WD-40 but don't use it liberally. If you ever change the engine to another brand the likelihood that it will not recommend WD-40 is pretty. Actual ARO is better and that's what I use in my O.S. engine.

Another alternative I have heard of Marvel Mystery Oil.
It gets used all the time as a fogging/ storage oil in all kids of full size engines . I have been using it on my nitro cars.
