New Member and New to Truck

    Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well. I just joined the forum today. I had some experiences with RC cars and heli a while back (20 yrs ago). But I have never owned a truck. I have been watching reviews of Traxxas X Maxx on YouTube and they look pretty good. I assuming I can run it on pavement and on grass?

I'm interested in the 1/10 scale one. I appreciate any advises and recommendations.

    Thanks

Out of the box the xmaxx is an awesome machine,i had mine for 2 months now and im still amazed by its size and how fun it is to drive, only weak point is the rear inner wheel bearings ( can be solved with rpm oversize axle carriers ) also spur and pinion are kinda weak metal ive replaced mine with hot racing spur and robinson racing pinion.

The maxx also looks like a really good machine , just much more smaller

I am running the exact same brand gearing... Robinson pinion destroyed the Traxxas spur gear lol
So far HR is holding up.
*To Traxxas defence, I did put it to the ultimate test by plowing my driveway with 3 inches of snow lol

I am big fan of the xmaxx got 3 of them. In my book best basher RC out there. Truck is very tuff and will take a beating for days. I have driven the Kraton 8s and that is good truck in its own right, but I like “monster truck” feel of the xmaxx more. I run my close to stock tbone bumpers, max5 esc, alum rear diff cover, and chassis net. I also like the 6s motor over the 8s motor and servo upgrade is nice.

The 1/10 scale version is called the Maxx, and there is a specific forum area for this (https://forums.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?124-Maxx). The X-Maxx is more like 1/6 scale. Both can be used on road & off road - though they are much more at home off road.

Yup, they even said "I'm interested in the 1/10 scale one."

To the OP the 1/10 scale one is just called Maxx.

Sorry tigger, posted at the same time.

I have two xmaxxs running the 6s motors with max6 on 8s. Never broke a motor like that. Puffed a few batteries and melted a few wires oh.
