I was pretty excited, would of preferred a full 5th scale version. My truck is right at the weight limit, makes me a little nervous. I would love to burn up my max5 one last time and never have to go back. Also been a castle guy, kind of shocked it took this long for this to come out.

About the weight limit, if it were me I’d just hear it down and lose a little speed for safety.
I’d say “just take it easy” but I don’t think anyone who owns an X Maxx can follow that advice lol.

I'm optimistic and hope it works well. I like a sensored motor for slow driving and driving over obstacles. It would be nice for the X-Maxx, for those times when I want something bigger than the Summit when I hear "it won't climb over that".

Is that for both the ESC and motor?

No, its certainly not cheap! About half the cost of an Xmaxx for motor and ESC. I plan on getting mine once I kill the stock esc. Its good to know once that does happen I have a castle setup that will work.

Pretty sure the Max5 was 200 and my leopard was 160ish. So about the same. I donít like that Castle isnít transparent about amperage specs though. So is it weaker than an XLX, which is a 160amp esc?

No way. It's the ESC price, but it seems fair (IMO) to me.

Just ESC. Amain doesn't have the combo. On the castle website the combo is 420$. Might be hard to get. They discontinued the 2028 and replaced it with a sensored 2028. Those motors were really hard to get, I'm sure these combos will sell out just as fast as they come in stock.
