Should I buy the 3350r combo?

    Hi all.

My Rustler has been off road for 4 years due the motor and/or esc failing. I'm close to purchasing the newer 4 pole 3350r combo but before I do, is there a better combo out there for the money? I've considered Mamba Monster but haven't the knowledge of whats best for bashing on grass and if its an easy plug and play etc.
Ive also upgraded all parts to aluminium minus the base plate.

    Thanks in advance.

I should've mentioned I was previously using the 3500 motor.

Get a hobby wing esc(probably 1/8 scale) and a lower kv motor. This will give you more capabilities.
Iím running a HW SC8-WP and a GoolRC 2600kv 3660 can. This is in a P4de itís a great setup. Youíre gonna want to figure out why your stock setup died. Did you just neglect it or with all the aluminum, was it too heavy.

Ran fine but after going in water, it gave up the ghost. Thanks for the advice but not sure how easy Hobbywing products are to find in the UK.

Edit - found products on amazon. The motor is very cheaply priced.

I will support what Gripdog says about 1/8 system and looser KV, with a caution . If you are going to run 2S it may not me as quick as you expect.
While not as hefty as a 1/8scale Hobbywing , this is the set up I am considering putting in my 2wd Pede

    P4de is short for Stampede.

Stampede 4wd. The motor is cheap, or rather just not horribly overpriced.

So would you say this set up is better than the 3350r set up? Better as in temps, power, durability etc? The 3350r is going to set me back £230 ($300) so anything in that price range or a little more I am fine with. I found the old 3500 2 pole got hot quickly on grass so I don't want to lose power while reducing temps.

    Thanks all.
