    larger slipper bearing

I melted my spur gear yesterday and baked the small bearing on the shaft as well. I am going to upgrade to the Revo slipper now. I was looking at parts and saw this -part #6893G. It replaces the bearing on the shaft. Outside of the larger diameter creating less heat, what is the point of this? And is it worth it?

    Thanks in advance.

That's the bearing adapter. It replaces the stock plastic adapter and is a "must have" item. It does not, however, replace the bearing itself.
Optional, you can get an aluminium motor mount with a 10x19x5mm bearing instead of the stock 10x15x4mm bearing. This is also a highly recommended upgrade:

You can also get them for the HCG chassis:
